Ladies hair for ballet classes must be tied up in a neat bun or french braid, off the face and neck.
Ballet shoes are the instrument of the dancer. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative that a proper fitting is achieved. Do not buy shoes with "room to grow", as it will impede the progress of the dancer's training and may lead to, or directly cause injury. Most ballet shoe stores know how to fit properly, and will not sell you shoes that are too big. Expect children to grow out of ballet shoes twice during the year.
